Unified messaging has integrated voicemail with email – voicemail can arrive as wave file in your email, and v.v. you can listen to your email (text-to-speech conversion) by calling your mailbox.
Separate voice, video and web-conferencing capabilities are now available as integrated applications.

IM solutions are expanding their capabilities to incorporate presence for multiple communication methods: providing voice, video, instant messaging, conferencing, and presence information through a single application.
